The day was inevitably coming, as we’ve had access to Photoshop and Lightroom for a pretty affordable $10 USD a month for as long as I can remember. This is the plan that includes 20GB of storage and not the 1TB version of the subscription.
On January 15, 2025, Adobe will be raising the Photography Plan (20GB) to $14.99 a month, up from $9.99 a month for all new subscribers. Existing monthly subscribers will see the price increase once their current subscription plan next renews.
The prepaid price of $119.88/yr will not see a price increase, so if you’d like to continue paying $10/mth, prepaying for the year will be the way to go.
This price increase will be rolled out globally.
The 1TB Photography Plan will see no price changes at this time.
The prepaid 1TB Lightroom plan will remain $119.88/yr, and will also now include Lightroom Classic. Paying monthly will see a price increase to $11.99/mth. So if you don’t use Photoshop and want some more could storage, the Lightroom 1TB plan may be worth considering.

It's smart not to do incremental price increases. There's probably some inefficiencies with monthly subscriptions like bounced payments and cancellations/reactivations and other things that I haven't thought of.
Is there an issue with the website? I no longer see the dark mode option. Tried on different browsers.
Dark Mode has been removed on the site. You're essentially maintaining two themes and analytics show it wasn't being used enough to make maintenance worth the time. Most browsers offer dark mode viewing client side, I can't speak for all of them.
It will remain on the forum unless Xenforo themselves change something.
I'll definitely miss it. Everything I use is in dark mode, so it kinda hurts my eyes a bit when I switch to a white website.
neuroanatomist I meant the website, not the forum
I did actually look into Open Source alternatives, namely Darktable and RawTherapee, but they were not for me. Darktable offers A LOT of development options, but the steep learning curve threw me off. On the other hand RawTherapee was a bit unstable on my Ubuntu test-machine. Not mentioning that Lr has the better data management system of the three. So back to Adobe it is...
There have been three offers on geizhals.de at this price and I choosed NBB.de.
