privatebydesign said:I used to work with a Rolls Royce Aero engine designer, he said before CAD they wouldn't pre draw the pipework but give the roughed up engine to the senior fitters with instructions as to what went where, those fitters then worked out the best way to route all the pipework and their initial pipes were then taken off and drawn up and manufactured.
I always found that interesting.
