Like the R8?it suffers from rolling shutter. If it didn't, and had the AF of the R5, it would dent its sales more.
Somehow Canon has not thought their evil plan through.
A lot of folks were expecting the R7 to cost as much as the R6 II.
At that budget, Canon could have put in a faster image sensor but I still doubt it would be as fast as the R5.
Fewer people would complain and it would be more usable but Canon went in a different direction and leaned on 15 FPS mechanical which is coincidentally faster than the R5.
Canon seems to suck at evil planning.
The R8 even goes up to 40 FPS with less rolling shutter than the R5.
They even crippled the R5 with 45 MP to not overshadow the R3.
