Three new segments of EOS R cameras coming in 2025

Ah, the R8 is "weather resistant," not sealed. Who said anything about "Higher end?" I just want a weather-sealed R8, and a few more megs wouldn't hurt. Why do you want to argue about that?
A camera as you describe would objectively be higher end than the R8 in all aspects. Canon has been fairly consistent with the "smaller" number generally representing a higher-tier of camera. I don't think an R9 as you envision is in the cards unless they move the R8 upmarket (which there isn't much room to do so with the R6 line and R8 already being so close)

Ah, I see what you mean now. I apologize. I thought you were just being snarky. Yeah, I figured it was a pipedream. I'd seen recent advertising for the possibility of the R9 being released in the first quarter of 2025, and I was pretty stoked for it ... until I started seeing social media posts saying it was due out in 2024 ... . So, I was just curious if anyone had heard anything about it. Thanks for your input.

Just FYI, I don't believe EVERYTHING I see on the net, but this caught my attention, which was one of the sources for my ponderance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cvdy4sin2fs
