A new Cinema Camera below the Cinema EOS C400 coming before IBC

The r5 mark 2 isn’t really a replacement over the r5c.. hopefully r5c mark 2
Hopefully. But I doubt this. As Canon would want everyone to buy the R5ii first for now. I do not think Canon will give us the option. Because R5cii would be a great camera and the video guys would prefer that over R5ii. So if there will be R5cii, it will be after a year or so. I hope that I am wrong. For me, just these two upgrades are enough: Full HDMI and 6k RAW record option at 60 fps. All other upgrades will be a bonus...

If it is a C70 style form-factor, I hope it will include an EVF ... or at least have some hot shoe style EVF solution like the EVF-DC1.

Of course, my dream would be an R5 C Mark II: keep the Cinema EOS menus for video mode, keep the stills functionality, add internal ND, add a more powerful battery solution. (Probably would need to grow to the size of an R1/C70 and cost the same as the C400, but I would be ok with that if it meant I could take one body for stills and video ... with no need for external fuss, such as NDs and power banks.)
I would love that. Best of both. Most of my work is hybrid. having two still capable and video with internal ND would be massive as NDs are not wanted for stills, but wanted for video. ND goes in and out depending what mode you are in. No more hassle with taking on and off filters on the lens.

It will be the answer to the fx6 and fx3 combo. C400 and c200 (new camera). Smaller version of the c400. Lass features but a full featured cine body with sdi NDs and probably the same sensor.
They took the C away from the R5c so this will be it’s replacement.
Next year we will see a new c500 giving the same fx9 fx6 and fx3 lineup. But in newer bodies. Can will finish have something to compete in the market.

They will then add another cine camera next year probably the c600. This will be a top of the line cine camera. Less sales but a proper flagship for people to reach towards. Think Venice, Alexa and V-raptor. Full frame DGO sensor.

I love the R5C because it is the perfect hybrid camera for me; however, I would love for them to come out with a R5C Mark II that includes all the upgrades to the R5 Mark II, at least on the photo side. That said, I can't imagine we'll see this for a while if it even comes out. Barry Griffin from Canon UK said in his interview with ProAV TV that the R5C line is not dead, and that the current R5C is mid-lifecycle. Therefore, my guess is that this new camera is the successor to the C70.

As a R5C shooter, I'm really not using the photo capabilities that much. I just wanted a very small cinema camera. So my hope is still for something along the lines of a Komono style body. Small box camera.
Yessss
Video focused cinema full frame 8k. if i needed photos i can use screen grabs. But barely using the photo mode honestly. If they made a video only version of the R5ii with a stacked sensor, dual or even triple based ISO, improved autofocus using the cinema menu, built in wifi to be able to control the camera via app, dual CF Express Type B, built in ND's would all be greatly appreciated. Almost forgot, make sure to include Clog2 now.
