(as an alternative to the expensive modern lenses)

Taken with a $15 Sigma 28mm 2.8 mini wide attached to a 600D with a OM to eos adapter ring with focus confirmation chip.
The venue is not really well- lit. camera set to aperture priority and lens f2.8 (maximum aperture)
Mild sharpening adjustment in Photoshop.

Please post your images taken with all brands of vintage manual lenses on a Canon(modified) body.

I guess beginners (like myself) normally start with a rebel. Actually, I couldn't even afford a 600D. I borrowed it from my friend for this weekend. I am stilling shooting with a 40D which I have bought with the recommendations of some kind people here in this forum.

Of course there are exceptions......but will people put a cheap vintage lens like mine on a 1 or 3 series body.

Or may be I should alter the subject to "anything shot with a cheap vintage manual lens on a rebel body" or "anything shot with a vinatge manual lens on a Canon body". I decide to choose the later because, there may be someone who shoots with their Leica lenses on expensive FF bodies.

Honestly, your 40D is better than the 600D you borrowed, even though comparing specs that may not be apparent. As you shoot more you'll grow to appreciate the better build quality and handling/ergonomics.

Thanks for your kind advice. I am just experimenting different equipment I could get hold of.

I love my 40D so far. I will work hard this summer and save some $$ for my next target.

Mounted on a 7D - an Access P-MC "macro" 28-70mm f2.8-4.2 FD mount. It was $10 or $15 from ebay with a Hoya CPF I was mostly after. I figure the FD to EOS mount acts like a small extension tube. Yes, there was some PP involved for saturation.

I have a whole series of OM-Zuiko and third party lenses with OM mounts that I use on my 5D2 and 1D4... if they work, they work!
Here's one of my favourites - 16/3.5 FE on 5D2

I've tried many different vintage lenses, my problem is that I don't see well enough to manual focus, so I find it frustrating as well as fuzzy. Here a few that were easy to grab. I tend to believe that Olympus OM lenses were supurb, I just did not have any images already online.

Old Sigma 600mm Mirror Lens

Tokina 400mm f/5.6

Nikkor 300mm f/2.8

Hasselblad 250mm sonar

Nikkor 500mm Reflex Mirror lens

One of these days, I'll try this one, if I have a adaptor that can be rigged.

nikkor is just for nikon camera or not?
