I had a friend suggest I join http://www.ppa.com/ for the insurance/protection and resources/education they offer. Is anyone else part of it? What do you think about it? As I do more photo jobs I think the insurance and protection they offer will be important and I'm not quite sure where else I would get it.

Hmm thanks Spokane. My friend was a pro for many years and was part of them, but maybe they've changed since he retired.

I'd still like to hear from others, but if indeed they aren't the best, who else can you get insurance for equipment and liability and indemnity that isn't through home owners policy?

I've been shooting professionally for 15 years and I've never been a fan of them... Just a bunch of people who like bragging on themselves and whatnot... Others like it and love it.. If you pay enough money and time into their organization, you can earn titles like certified or master or whatever... To me it's just another pay to play organization.
