Canon R when ON makes a working noise?

Hello guys,

Unfortunately my Canon R fell to the floor. Apparently everything is ok, but I put it next to my ear and noticed that it makes a slight noise when turned on. Is it normal?

I'm not talking about a big noise, just audible when we put our ear to the machine. Does anyone with a Canon R can try and give feedback?

I have the R and just checked. I hear nothing when it's operating after the shutter initially opens.

Is it possible you have continuous AF enabled? Which would cause the lens to make noise as it constantly adjusts?

Mine is silent.
How long does the sound subsist after you've switched the R on? It could be the lens' stabilization.
