Hood for 24mm f1.4 L II

Hi.

I've just picked up a 24mm f1.4 L II lens for a bargain price, but without it's hood. (replacing my 28mm f1.8)

Looking online the official one is £45. There are very similar hoods about for less than £10.. so.

The hood the lens is supposed to have is the EW-83k.

I can't seem to buy an off-brand "k" hood.. but I can see a variety of other EW-83 hoods, some which look quite close.

Does anyone know what other hoods might be suitable?

A bit more digging and it seems the Aliexpress hood isn't the correct profile.. it's chopped across the ends unlike the 83k, so it looks like one of the other hoods (some of which are quite short), with 83k written on it.

What I have found is "the-digital-picture" comparative lens pictures where the nearest one is teh 83j

Final follow up, in case someone else goes down this same rabit hole.... I ordered a £5 clone EW-83J (for the EF-S 17-55 f2.8). It does fit and does not restrict the view at all.. I tested with a bright torch illuminating the inside surface of the hood, but missing the lens, and the view in the viewfinder is unaffected. Certainly beats £45 for a Canon one.
