Video Monopod

After few weeks playing around with many-many monopods(for my video gig) at local camera stores, I ended up with this combo. No issues holding my a9 + FE 70-200 f2.8 GM. It hold my Sony combo solid, not tripod solid. I wouldn't recommend walking away from it, especially in crowed areas.

For video, my main cam is Sony RX10 IV. This combo is butter smooth. Foot print is bigger compared to other companies. Couldn't be happier!!! I now can video and take picture of my kids at same time.

Same here, after trying few of those I came to the conclusion that locked down footage like on a tripod cannot be achieved reliably on a monopod. To me, monopod is for b-rolls unless the situation calls for a small movement. For run and gun situation monopod is my first option. I even put my Zhiyun crane on it to help carry the load and that allows me to move it anytime without interrupting the footage.
For safety reason, I would not put any camera on a monopod unattended. Any kid running around or a little lack of attention on your part would put your camera in jeopardy. That is just my opinion. Maybe others have a trick that I am not familiar with.

Even if I don't end up using it to shoot video, it still looks like a nice monopod for just shooting pictures.

Besides, monopod look is very attractive when there is a lot of action and movement.
