This is a petition to Canon to consider the reintroduction of the PowerShot G1x Mark 1 CMOS 1.5" sensor camera with a faster zoom lens (perhaps with a 25-140mm @ f1.8-3). It was a powerful point and shoot camera of its time having impressive built quality and an unique 1.5" size CMOS sensor-lies in between Micro 4/3 and APSC-packed in a small body that felt substantial in hand. Slightly higher megapixel (approx. 24 MP for 4k 60 and cropping image), digital viewfinder and improved battery life will make it a formidable point and shoot for those who are looking for a small all rounder cameras that can take better photos and videos (especially for social medias) without braking the bank.

I'm a huge fan of the original G1X, a rather unappreciated camera by many IMO. Although somewhat clunky it was / is capable of producing really good images. The optical viewfinder was ridiculed in some reviews, yet it works perfectly well. In many ways I actually preferred it to the G1Xiii that I have now.
However, in response to your request I think that the words "fly", "pigs", and "may", about sum it up.
But as part of the G1X appreciation society I'm attaching a few pictures that I took with mine. The first image makes a mockery of the DR debate; look the camera's performance up on photons to photos and you'd be forgiven for believing that you couldn't make a high contrast scene image with it, yet the first image here has a huge EV range.
