HI all,

I've been reading a bit here and there and came across the topic of geared heads.

Can ya'll make some recommendations and reasons why you like said recommended geared head?

I've got an older pair of sticks I could stick this on and play with....and compare with my RRS ball head set up.

Thank you in advance,

cayenne

Mantfrotto 410 is a 'classic' that is good and reliable. Only problem is that it comes with a Manfrotto clamp, and those mostly suck. If you go that route, the clamp can be replaced with one from RRS (simply, unlike some of their other heads you just need to unscrew the Manfrotto clamp and screw on the RRS or equivalent Arca-type clamp).

I didn't know you could give it the Arca treatment so easily! Thanks for pointing that out!
