lp-e6p

Can the LP-E6P battery be used in cameras other than the R5m2? Such as an R7?
From the Canon community by a poster who has a Canon logo, so I guess she’s a Canon employee:

“Currently, information for compatibility between the Battery Pack LP-E6P and Canon cameras which are not the EOS R5 Mark II camera is not available. More information will become available near the availability or availability of the camera. “

Thanks for the test - I'm actually hoping for an "official" answer of some sort. The voltage
rating is the same - but the E6P has a higher sustained amp draw rating. So I'd like to
know - from Canon if possible - fi there is any chance that my R7 can be damaged by
that. My guess is that it won't because the R7 won't "ask" for more power than it can
survive. IIRC Canon has promised an answer on this (date now passed) but hasn't yet
answered it ... is that right?
