You mean when pressing the 'record' button in photo mode? I get confused by that all the time! I think on the R5 it uses C3 in movie mode, but on other bodies only get the nice features in movie mode

You can customize the button. I set it to change between EVF and screen.
Or at least basics of photography, like proper FEL, where FE is LOCKED untill released by photographer, not just for one shot!
