Atomos simultaneously announces and ships Shinobi II, a slim, lightweight, high brightness, 5-inch 1500nit HDR monitor that’s perfect for vloggers, creatives and photographers. It’s available now from Atomos’ authorized resellers. Atomos is known for inventing the Apple ProRes HDR monitor-recorder, and its Ninja and Shogun lines are market leaders in that field. Does anyone know whether there\'s a field monitor that can do touch-to-focus (like on the camera\'s LCD) of Canon cameras?
Yes, the Portkeys monitors do that, though not for the Canon R5C. They tell me they're "working on it".
This one, for example:

I just received mine for the R5C and experiencing issues. Aperture seems to be the only setting i can adjust and only at f5.6 or higher. Anything lower will not work. ISO, Shutter and color temp are not working either. Biggest let down is that the USB C PD function is not working while the camera is on. It\'s only working when the camera is off. I have submitted a ticket to them to have them look into this. Just shocked it\'s not working since their main video of the walkthrough on their YouTube uses a R5C for demonstration.

So sorry to hear that… please keep us updated. Mine is preordered but probably not arriving for a week. I was so hopeful of it being an R5C solution…

I suggest canceling. I’m returning mine now. Atomos replied saying it doesn’t support the R5C. So it’s false advertisement. Never seen this happen before but won’t be going the Atomos. I’ll be looking at the new Viltrox DX2 and DX3 they released recently

I just had this message from Atomos support: after they had assured me it worked with R5C I got this. Cancelling my order now.

Hello Mark,
Please accept my sincere apologies for any confusion about Canon R5C compatibility.

The Shinobi II does not support camera control for any Canon C-series cameras.
This includes the C70, C200, C300 III, C400, C500 II, and any other models with a C in front of them.
This is because the Canon Cinema line cameras, such as the C70, use a completely different control protocol than the Canon EOS mirrorless cameras, which the Shinobi II supports.

Your understanding will be greatly appreciated.
