Hi all,

I am a long time cannon shooter / adobe user. I have been toying with the idea of getting a Fuji x100vi.

Do any of you have it? I have heard in the past that does not gel well with Lightroom. Is that still the case? Are you happy with the camera?

My main concern is that I don’t want it to be a gimmicky buy, that tries to be a film camera of days gone by.

Any hands on thoughts would be appreciated.

I almost had hands on. I got a call from Ace Photo in Ashburn, Va., that my Fugi X100 V was in, but was advised to get a Canon R8 instead. I did. I was interested in the Fuji because Pulitzer winner and Washington Post photographer Michael Williamson said the Fuji is just fun to use.

I should add, I already have an r5 and the rf lenses I want. I was thinking about adding the Fuji as a take everywhere camera.

Yes, me too. I have the R5 II and R6 II and more lenses than I can carry, including the nearly four-pound RF 24-105 f/2.8.

No, once I heard the shutter rate I actually sold the R8. However, I am thinking about getting an RF 16 mm for a night Photography.
