He makes some valid points and does cover my complaint about Canon's buffering. I would really love to have the camera simply slow down the shot count instead of just stopping completely, writing, then doing a few more shots. Fortunately, the R1's buffer seems much larger than the R5M2, and I have not been in a situation where I've run the buffer out yet, but I can see it happening at some point.
