EF 24-150mm, f/2 - 2.8 for Canon FF

I still want a EF 24-150mm, f/2.8. FF

I do not have to carry two camera and two heavy lenses. It is not practical every time to carry in a functions like hectic wedding.
Always looking for all in one. For years and years we using same range and type of lens.
Sony and Nikon has it 35-150mm f2.8 by Tamron
Why EF?, it can be used for DSLR and for RF camera also with adaptor mount for RF camera.
My lot of business friends switched over from Canon to Sony makes. They literally dumped Canon products in frustration and anger. Canon does freed herself from burdon of making lens nor they allow third party to make variety of full frame lenses. Always some kind of restriction feeling.

I still want world peace, and an end to famine. I guess we’re both screwed.

Canon is not going to come out with any more EF lenses, much less a high-spec one like your wish. Forum regulars will know what me ol’ Irish Da said about wishing.

Meanwhile, it’s funny how all your friends switched from Canon to Sony and yet Canon didn’t lose any market share. It’s even more funny how many people on this forum join to make that very claim, as if it has relevance to the global camera market. It doesn’t.

I suppose you could switch to Sony for their 24-150/2.8 or the several equivalent third-party FE-mount options. Good luck with that.

Actually, there is the Tamron 35-150/2-2.8 so if that’s close enough for you, you should switch. Personally, I wouldn’t give up 24-35 in a standard zoom so the 24-105/2.8 is a better choice for me.

Meanwhile, sooo many angry and deeply frustrated silly Canon customers are still waiting weeks and months to get their R5 II, R1, 70-200., 10-20, 200-800 instead of jumping gaily on the Sony Titanic...
Dump them Canons, folks! (But tell me where, please!) :sneaky:
