No interest from you maybe, but other will be interested in new RF-S (not L) lenses. Me, for one.
2k for a prime (without IS) might be a bit too much to argue for me (and others).
Since the RF50 f/1.8 is already €230, I wouldn't have expected the f/1.4 version to be below €1000, especially considering the Sony f/1.4 GM is €1700. I would have guessed €1300.
They’re apparently planning to launch a 70-200/2.8 Z for a hybrid photo/video market, which will ‘compete’ with the current 70-200/2.8. These primes won’t have the Z designation, but perhaps they’ll have the clickless aperture ring like the 24-105/2.8 Z.
The 50 f/1,2 costs $2K.
You could probably get a used RF 50 f/1.8 for under whatever Yongnuo will charge.
MY theory was it was some combination of cinema lens and photo lens.
The original source said €2000 according to @ordinaryfilmmaker, hopefully that includes tax already.
