I think I'll pass on preorder this time. Need to see the detailed specs and reviews. Unless there's something exceptional like 16-bit raws with 16 stops of DR and/or raw histogram.

The reason why we don't get the same info from rumors is that there used to be a guy in Japan who called himself Nokishita. He somehow had inside info. He was always right and would leak info before a launch. Some speculated that he somehow had access to a server that kept the marketing materials for the new cameras, perhaps from a camera store that received them, maybe from a printing company they all used, etc. Either way he was the single source of most leaked info right before a launch. All of the rumor sources used him. For some reason he stopped (or was made to stop), and so now we don't get the same degree of info."Kudos to Canon for keeping the lid tight..."
