This shouldn’t come as a surprise, but Nikon has concluded all production of F-mount cameras and lenses. This may have been the case for a while, but it was only recently confirmed.
There will continue to be inventory of F-mount gear for the foreseeable future, but the end of the DSLR era for Nikon is here.
Canon continues to see solid DSLR demand in some markets, so it’ll be interesting to see when Canon does the same. There are 100+ million EF lenses out there, so the market for Canon DSLRs will continue for quite some time.
That said, a lot of EF lenses have also been discontinued, but a few may remain in production.
