The holiday season is fast approaching and we are heading into that crazy time of the shopping season. It’s never a good idea to wait until the last minute so here’s some great savings that I’ve hand picked for you.
If anyone is looking at giving me anything this year, this list is a great place to start ;)
Canon EOS R8 Mirrorless Camera
d
Nothing says I love you better than a brand new mirrorless camera from Canon, or was it diamonds? I think it was the Canon EOS R8 and 24-50 IS STM lens, and regardless of relationship advice, this makes a great travel kit.
For now, it’s on sale for only $1399 – which is an incredible bargin on Canon’s smallest full frame camera to date.
Features include;
- 24.2MP Full-Frame CMOS Sensor
- 4K60p 10-Bit Internal Video, C-Log 3
- Dual Pixel CMOS AF II
- 2.36m-Dot Electronic Viewfinder
- 3.0″ 1.62m-Dot Vari-Angle Touchscreen
- 40 fps Electronic Shutter
- Microphone Input, Headphone Output
- Multi-Function Shoe, UVC Livestreaming
- RF 24-50mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM Lens
Don’t take just my word for it, here’s what dpreview said about it;
An affordable camera that can punch above its weight in stills and 4K video. While its poor battery life keeps it from being a slam-dunk recommendation, you get a lot of camera for your money in the EOS R8. Its simple control scheme is great for beginners, and feature-packed for more advanced users, and its flip-out LCD makes it flexible for off-angle shooting and vlogging.

DJI Mini 3 Drone Kit
I think everyone had the same thought I did, get anything from DJI now before next year when things may be well, let’s just say – more complicated.
So while I was actually going to write up and recommend another drone, just about them all seemed to be on backorder. So for the sake of this one also being on sale, a great starter kit AND it’s available now – all those coincided into the perfect storm to say, well, you had better get this now.
It’s really hard not to love this little drone that is under the weight limit for FAA registration (so no paperwork, folks), and it shoots 4K and has up to a 38 minute flight time as well.
The kit includes a nice case, SD card, anti-collision light, landing pad (surprisingly handy). As well, includes battery, remote controller, and of course propellers.
Key features of this little guy include;
- Up 4K30 Video
- Includes DJI RC Remote Controller
- Rotating Gimbal for Vertical Shooting

Flashpoint Zoom Li-on X R2 TTL Round Flash Speedlight Kit
It absolutely boggles my lizard brain why these flashes are not more popular. These are Adorama’s own brand which is basically rebranded GODOX flashes.
Which are. Very. Very. Good.
Unless you have a specific professional need, this are excellent flashes for your Canon kit and cheaper and more light for the dollar than any Canon. They also have better modifiers, because the name of the strobe – is that you are the master of the light. This kit gets you going, and to be frank, I want 2 or 3 of these.
This kit is priced lower than the base flash unit ($229), so in other words – Adorama is paying you $30 bucks to pick up the bundle kit.
Features include;
- Advanced on-camera speedlight compatible with Canon ETTL system
- Integrated 7.2V/2600mAh Lithium Ion battery providing up to 480 full power shots
- Automatic or manual zoom from 28-105mm for optimal coverage
- Fast and convenient Magnetic Modifier Mount compatible with a variety of accessories
- Advanced 2.4GHz R2 TTL Wireless Flash System for seamless remote control and monitoring

Pentax 17
I bet you didn’t expect this to make the list, did you?
While frankly, I would like to have a nice mint Canon FD T90, Canon doesn’t make them anymore and they are getting a little hard to find these days. :( But if someone really wanted to buy me a film camera. I’ll take this one, please.
Just remember if you are purchasing used film cameras, the ones that look like they went through war, probably did.
For those that want new and clean, Pentax is to the rescue for the budding photographer who wants to go back and remember the days of film.
This is a half-frame camera, which means on a normal 24-exposure roll of film, you get 48 images. This saves you money, especially if you really don’t care that much about blowing up your images to large sizes.
This camera looks like a lot of fun.
Features include;
- 35mm Half-Frame Film Camera
- HD PENTAX HF 25mm f/3.5 Traditional Lens
- Manual Zone Focus with Macro Setting
- Window Viewfinder with Dual Frame Lines
- Autoexposure, Program, and Bokeh Modes
- Built-In Flash, Flash AE Modes
- Exposure Compensation and ISO Dials
- Manual Film Advance Lever & Film Rewind
- Takes 1x CR2 3V Battery
- 2.5mm Remote Cable Switch Terminal
