Welcome to Day 5, and we have a week before Christmas. The fifth day is five golden rings. But it, too, isn’t quite what it seems. The assumption that I had, and I think most people, was that I referred to jewellery, but that doesn’t seem to be what some historians think it was. Some suggest that it refers to the rings on the pheasant’s neck since the other 7 days of the song refer to birds. However, we should also note that the earliest illustration all the way back in 1780, showed actual rings. So, if you think a pheasant would make a good gift while your partner eagerly awaits some rings, you may not make it to the 6th day.
Because it’s day 5, and the number 5 – the choices today are obvious.

Canon EOS R5
Not everyone can afford the $4299 price of the newly released Canon R5 Mark II, but the model it replaces, the Canon EOS R5 is no slouch either. With great image quality, competent autofocus and excellent video, this is a fantastic camera. The good thing is that it’s marked down for the holiday season with $600 off it’s regular price, now only $2799.
