The R6 ii is a boring camera in terms of on-paper specs but an awesome tool to create results which are very close to what I intended. It doesn't get in the way and maybe just that is the reason for the success of this camera. And another reason is the fair pricing for the whole well sorted package this camera delivers.

That is kind of Canon's mojo in a nutshell.

That's my thought with the R5ii - the camera just gets out of the way. Complete game changer coming from the 5D4.

When I bought the EOS R, I kept using the 5 D IV as my main camera. Even though I liked the R, but I definitely disliked its its viewfinder .
I intended to use the 5 D as second camera after having bought the R5 II, but now plan to get another R5 II.
As you wrote, it simply gets out of the way, I even forget the lack of an OVF, its EVF is just "invisible". Couldn't be more satisfied with this camera (only dislike the stills/video switch).

Canon was never a "specs company", only a maker of reliable, ergonomic and usable cameras, offering the specs one really needed. Satisfaction is often about knowing which compromises to make or to accept, perfection only exists in utopias or marketing .

Funny!
I never thought about the R6m2 that way.
But I can understand that a lot think so.
For me it was just the logic choice after my 5D4.
R5 was hard to argue from the price. And I never had the feeling that I'd need 45 MP.
And after I got used to it I never thought about touching the 5D4 again.
